Guidelines Before The Operation: The people thinking about hair transplant operation, firstly, must inform the center if they have a severe health problem in their past. They must have a detailed blood analysis in the hospital. They must know if they are allergic to any of the anesthetic medications that will be used in the operation. They should not take any blood thinner(aspirine etc.) in the week before the operation. We suggest that you stop using alcohol or products with alcohol, at least two night before the operation.

Cigarettes prolong the healing process of any wound. That is why, if you smoke, you should stop using at least one week before the operation or decrease the amount of cigarettes as much as possible. We suggest patients to eat well in the breakfast in the morning of the operation. We suggest that you come to operation with comfortable clothes that will not come in contact with your head and could be worn with no difficulty(shirts, large T-shirts, jackets etc.)

Guidelines After The Operation The individuals who had hair transplant must avoid using any cosmetics and any contact with water for the first 2 days after operation.

After the operation(3rd day) washes will start. They will be done for 8-10 days. In this process, there may be scabs. It is wrong to scratch or pull the scabs and, if done so, it may cause hair loss. The scabs will fall out by themselves with daily washes.

We suggest that hair transplant patients do not do streneous exercise and do not get in the sea, pool, sauna or solarium for 1 month. We suggest that they do not shave with electric razor for at least 3 months. We suggest they do not do any harsh diet for 1 year.

Washing Hair After the Operation First wash is done in the 3rd day after the operation. Hair washes after operations are done for 10 days with a special lotion and shampoo. For this 10 days, washes should be done as described below, once everyday.

By lightly pressing and without any rubbing motion, you should distribute good amounts of the lotion to the operation area. The lotion should remain in the area for 1 hour in order for scabs and clots to soften.

After that, you should wash out the lotion with great care by pressing lightly with warm water, paying attention to not rub the operated area. After the lotion is washed out, you should shampoo the area with the same precautions as in with the lotion, pour good amounts of shampoo until it starts to create foam and right after it is done rinse the head with warm water without waiting.

You should dab the hair with a soft towel by pressing lightly and not rubbing after the hairwash. You can also use hairdryer but from afar and in medium temperature.
